This School Campus Is Getting “Nap Pods”

Students at Edinburgh University have voted to install “nap pods” in an attempt to stop sleep deprivation. The pods will cost about $10,000 each, it has a aircraft-style bed and the user can “screen out” surrounding sound by playing relaxing music through a large helmet and rotating visor.

The sleeping pods is an attempt to fix the problem of sleep deprivation by promoting the idea of having students take a 40-minute break throughout the day to make sure that they are mentally and physically on point. “Nap pods” are used by some American universities and by Google in London. How do you feel about college campuses having “nap pods?” Do you think they will be effective?
